Klondike Derby 2016
(posted 2016-01-23)

New Date for Klondike Derby!

With the unseasonably warm start to our Winter, there was concern in regards to having enough ice on Loon Pond at Camp Nutter for the 2016 York District Klondike Derby.  So to ensure safety, we have postponed the Klondike Derby until February 26th, 27th and 28th, 2016.

Please download the following document for all the details about this year’s Mega-Klondike!!

York District Pinewood Derby Rules
(posted 2016-01-11)

Here are the 2016 York District Pinewood Derby Rules and Regulations.  Please note the new information inside the text box on page one.  We are strongly suggesting that each Unit assign a responsible adult to take possession of the top three race-cars from your Pack’s Derby and keep them until the District Derby.  This is to not only keep them safe, but to prevent alterations to the cars.

York District Merit Badge College – Spring 2016
(posted 2015-11-09)

We are looking for feedback from leaders on badges they would like us to attempt. The classes need to be something that can be in normal indoor classrooms and be adapted to four or less one hour increments. We would like to have open dialogue of this at the ‘scout breakout’ session of the December Roundtable, Thur. 3 Dec. 2016.

Please contact mbc2014@yorkdistrict.org if you have questions in advance of the December Roundtable discussion.
