We will be presenting the Silver Beaver Award to our own Scott Valcourt as well as presenting the District Award of Merit to two very deserving Scouters. Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge

  • Times 6:00 to 8:00 approx.

Fall Camporee UPDATE

PLEASE pre-register by emailing the Scoutmaster of Troop 369, Norm Sirois, normansirois@rocketmail.com , and let us know if your unit is coming and an approximate number of how many youth and adults will be attending. You can adjust your numbers at registration at check-in on Friday night (10/16).

HERE is a draft of the schedule for the weekend. A final schedule will be available at check-in.

Dutch Oven Cooking Competition – There are 3 categories of judging for the Dutch Oven Competition; 1. Desserts 2. Chili and 3. Chowders, soups and stews. Units may cook in any of the categories, but can only present one Dutch oven for judging and MUST declare which category they want to be judged in before cooking begins at 3:00 p.m. Units will cook in their campsites and take appropriate precautions with charcoal and fire safety. Judging begins at 6:00 p.m. with judges coming to your campsite.

Gateway Competition – Units are encouraged to put up a Gateway at the entrance to their campsite. There is no specific theme for Gateways except that they should be creative and in the spirit of Scouting. Gateway judging will take place on Saturday afternoon.

Campfire Program – Units are encouraged to come to the Campfire Program with a skit or a song. Awards will be given to the Unit with the best Skit and another for best song.


Eagle Scout Project Coach

The first session for adult training to ‘Eagle Scout Project Coach’ is scheduled for September 10, 2015 at 7:30pm at Sanford High in Room 17.

This session is happening during the youth Merit Badge college time frame. No registration necessary. Just show up.

2015 York District Fall Camporee

The 2015 York District Fall Camporee will be hosted by Troop 369 in Lebanon, ME at the corner of Half-Mile Rd and Little River Rd. from October 16th – 18th, 2015.    For you orienteering folks, that’s 43°23’40.1″N   70°51’06.3″W   (43.394467, -70.851750).

Here are the Registration Forms for Boy Scouts/Venture Scouts and Webelos.

The theme for this year’s Fall Camporee is “Dutch Oven Cooking… with a side of Sports”  There will be three judged categories for Dutch Oven cooking:

  • Chili
  • Chowders/soups/stews
  • Dessert

The sports will consist of kick ball, whiffle ball and a Frisbee activity.

Here is some general information:

  • Registration opens at 4:00 PM on October 16, 2015.
  • Bring your own water.
  • Webelos can camp over night on Saturday, October 17th, 2015:
  • You will be able to drive to your campsite to unload gear.

York District Merit Badge College – Fall 2015

Online registration for the York District Merit Badge College – Fall 2015 is now available.

The Fall 2015 York District Merit Badge College is open to Boy Scouts interested in pursuing Merit Badges being offered this semester.  Scouts are expected to attend in full BSA Field Uniform and be prepared with a notebook, writing instruments, any Merit Badge pamphlets appropriate to his selected Merit Badge pursuits, and any required pre-requisites completed.  Scouts should bring a Scoutmaster-signed Merit Badge Application (Blue Card) to the first session.
